To celebrate the launch of the Rocky Horror Show game, Chumba Casino commissioned marketing videos to capture the eccentric energy of the cult stage production. The creative direction drew directly from the show’s theatrical elements, blending recognisable motifs with casino gameplay to create a seamless crossover. To establish the tone immediately, I opened the video with a bold warp effect referencing the iconic “Time Warp” while also evoking the weird, wacky spirit of the franchise.

Sound design played a vital role in reinforcing these visuals. Quick-fire effects such as a scream synced to the graphic, rolling thunder for ambience, and layered audio stingers enhanced the fast-paced opening sequence. To tie the piece together, I introduced subtle background animations such as fog creeping across the bottom of the frame, bats flying through the scene, and fire flickering in the castle windows leading to a lightning strike transition that revealed the gameplay. The final result was a cohesive, theatrical promo that channelled the fun and chaos of Rocky Horror while driving excitement for the game.
