The Experts’ Choice Service was a subscription offering from Laithwaite’s Wine People, supported by an explainer video designed to clearly communicate how the service worked. Using kinetic typography and flat imagery, the video broke down each step of the process in a way that was engaging, accessible, and easy to follow. Storyboarding was essential, as multiple departments were involved in shaping a message that was both accurate and concise.
One of the biggest creative challenges was visualising the “skip, delay, or cancel” options. The solution required graphics that were simple enough to grasp instantly within the short scene duration, yet distinct enough to clearly convey each choice. This balance of clarity and simplicity was key to ensuring the video’s effectiveness.
Following on from the completion of this video for Laithwaite's Wine People, our other business unit 'Virgin Wines' who also had a similar service requested their own explainer video, which can be viewed below. The approach was similar in terms of pre-production planning but the style was different due to the much younger demographic.
