As Virtual Gaming Worlds expanded, the demand for creative output increased significantly. A growing number of monthly game releases and new business units placed pressure on the Creative team, where manual production workflows were becoming a bottleneck. This not only slowed turnaround times but also introduced inconsistencies that required additional revisions.
As the team’s Digital Designer and primary Celtra specialist, I led the development of a scalable templating system to streamline production. This involved designing modular templates that adhered to brand guidelines while significantly reducing manual effort. Close collaboration with both Creative and Marketing teams was essential. Understanding internal workflows ensured the system was practical for designers, while aligning with Marketing needs enabled greater autonomy in campaign execution.
The system was built around a clear division of responsibility: Creative populated visual assets, while Marketing controlled copy variations directly within the platform. A key challenge was balancing flexibility with control allowing Marketing to iterate on messaging without compromising brand integrity. Through structured template logic and permissions, the system enabled safe experimentation while maintaining consistency across all outputs.
The impact was substantial. Each game release required only 11 manually produced assets, which could then be uploaded into Celtra to automatically generate 44 creatives from a single content feed row. What previously took up to two days of manual production was reduced to approximately three hours. From there, additional variations could be generated instantly by expanding the content feed, which allowed non-designers to scale campaigns independently.
This shift transformed the Creative workflow from manual production to system-driven scalability. The templates enabled faster turnaround times, consistent branding across business units, and significantly increased output without increasing workload. As a result, the system saw widespread adoption across the Marketing team and positioned Creative to support continued business growth at scale.
